Head of Engineering | NDA FinTech Startup | 2022 โ 2023
I led a team of 100+ people in a crypto startup within the FinTech sector.
Weโve developed a high-loaded web product for the mobile/web world with a P2P marketplace, crypto payment acquirer, and the ability to transfer money (e.g. USDT, BTC, TON) between users through messengers.ย
Reporting directly to the CTO, defined a long-term technology strategy and successfully led execution against it. Built an effective delivery process reducing delivery time (reduced ~2.5 times), the precision of estimates (โ of projects are in time), reducing costs (~30% cost reduction). Introduced a new technology landscape and architecture, improving system stability, scalability and performance (up to ~10 times increase)
Built a distributed remote/hybrid team of 42 engineers from scratch around EMEA, including the hiring strategy, negotiating complex relocations and salaries, and drawing development trajectories for teams and employees. Reduced the attrition rate by 40%
Technical details: Kotlin, JVM, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Python, Blockchain, RebbitMQ, Cloudflare, Kafka, Event Base system, Microservices
Engineering Manager | Miro | 2020-2022
I built from scratch and managed core teams at Miro, up to 25+ people, who built a platform for real-time collaboration on the whiteboard (from board loading and app communications to support simultaneous work on the board). We designed and developed a collaboration layer on top of which other teams built their own features.
Working directly with the CTO, I prepared an architecture vision and a roadmap, and led the transformation of an 11-year-old system according to priorities within a growing environment, and constantly scaling the team. As a result, we have a 30% infrastructure cost reduction and performance increase up to 3 times.
Hired and built teams in 2 hubs (Germany and Armenia) from scratch, organized their work processes and achieved the highest eNPS among the foundation team. Successfully performed a relocation project for a team to a new hub with keeping engineers and their performance.
